Gotta try their donuts (not sure what they're called) Cinnamon-Sugar Cake Doughnuts. Mmmh!

Friendly local bakery, with delicious pastries. Saw a guy buy a creme-filled Long John (like an eclair) with extra creme stuffed in there, and bought one myself. Heavenly! Was convinced to get some Apple sauce donuts as well, and no regrets! That stuff was goood!

Lobacks is part of a dying breed of old family bakeries. Such a gem. A very nostalgic feel all around. First and foremost... the most amazing cream puffs and eclairs if you come on the right day! And we are some serious foodies... one of us a classically trained chef! We have actually special ordered large batches of these for parties or sharing with friends. We also love their cake donuts! Moist and delicious! Lobacks has the most friendly staff in town and is absolutely one of our stops every time we are in BV. Someone poorly reviewed these guys for having bad breakfast burritos... doh! Its a bakery. Go here for donuts pastries and cookies! Oh and incredible pecan sticky buns.

We stopped by this place on a road trip. The almond-topped pretzel twists have an unbelievable melt- in- your mouth consistency. The bear claw was sublime, and the applesauce donuts are moist with a delicious, spice-cake flavor. We actually went back on our return trip and bought sticky buns for the next day's breakfast, we were so impressed. And the prices are SO LOW for what you'd find of comparable quality in a coffee shop ( if you could ever find anything this good in a coffee shop---in my experience their offerings too often consist of dry, candy-like brownie wedges and overly dry and crumbly oversized scones.) Anyway, this place was a great find, the service in our experience was extremely friendly, and I found this bakery charming in an old-fashioned, no-frills kind of way . They can bake like nobody's business, and that's what I'm looking for in a bakery.

Very disappointing. We stopped there twice and there was very limited selection, even by the middle of the morning. I have never been to a bakery that wasn't ready to go by early morning (they didn't have glazed donuts at 9am on a Saturday morning). Staff was not overly friendly either. The donuts were yummy though. Especially the applesauce donuts on Saturday mornings. While its not a bad place, I highly suggest walking across the street to the Roastery for a much better experience.

Excellent Donuts--especially the cinnamon fry! Get them hot--we didn't have anything else in there because across the street the coffee is so good at the roastery! Prices are worth it--less than DD!

I think the donuts were good and obviously fresh. But if you want a breakfast burrito you might as well pick it up at the local grocery's frozen foods section and microwave it yourself. When the lady said she would start getting the burritos ready, she meant she would pull them out of the freezer and start microwaving them. They weren't good - I ate 2 bites. I couldn't tell if there were eggs in them or just a macerated gravy potato sausage mixture - eww. Go here for the fresh bread and donuts but leave the breakfast burritos in the freezer.

I love this place! Don't go in if you are some introvert yuppy. If you actually want to go in and strike up a conversation the old locals in the joint can give you a run for your money if you get them on a good day. Also, I'm not a coffee drinker but the pastries and breads are delicious and at a descent price. nice small town mom and pop. get there early and get specials on last days stuff.
